FP10R Overview

The Valcourt FP10R Lafayette II is the arched-faceplate version of Valcourt's high-efficiency Lafayette platform, an EPA 2020 certified wood-burning fireplace named after the great French general. The unit pairs a 2.5 cu. ft. firebox with a non-catalytic secondary-combustion stainless steel air system to deliver up to 8 hours of burn time per load, and the included 176 CFM blower distributes heat from the platform without an extra accessory purchase. Particulate emissions are exceptionally low at 1.2 g/h.

This is the customizable face of Valcourt's mid-tier EPA-certified line. To complete the install, three required groups must be selected: a black or brushed nickel door overlay, the black arched faceplate, and one of five louver styles (Classic, Arabesque, Urban, Mission, or Crown). The arched profile distinguishes the FP10R from its square-front sibling, the FP10RS Lafayette IIS, while sharing the same firebox, blower, and emissions performance. Optional fresh air intake, gravity, and forced air kits are sold separately. Fireplace Insider ships the FP10R nationwide; installation by a WETT or NFI certified installer is recommended for warranty coverage.

Warranty

Valcourt fireplaces are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty issued by Stove Builder International (SBI), the manufacturer of the Valcourt brand. The warranty is provided to the original retail purchaser at the original installation address and is non-transferable. Coverage begins on the date of purchase indicated on the invoice; if the invoice cannot be provided, the warranty period is determined by the date of manufacture stamped on the appliance. The original invoice must be retained as proof of purchase to claim warranty service.

Coverage applies to the firebox structure, body, and combustion components. Glass breakage from thermal stress is not covered, and the warranty excludes damage caused by improper installation, overfiring, use of fuel other than dry cordwood, normal wear of paint and refractory bricks, modifications to the appliance, and damage from chimney fires. Optional electrical components such as blowers carry a shorter coverage period, typically two years on parts.
