FP15 Overview

The Valcourt FP15 Waterloo is the square-faceplate version of Valcourt's flagship high-efficiency platform. Like the arched FP15A, the FP15 is built around a 4.28 cu. ft. firebox with a patented intelligent air control system that automatically regulates combustion and a premium 176 CFM blower included as standard equipment. Where the FP15 differs from the FP15A is the faceplate: the FP15 ships with the black Crown-style faceplate (VA15FL07) standard rather than offering the louver-style choices of the arched version.

Because the Crown faceplate is part of the standard package, the variant matrix on the FP15 is simpler than its arched sibling, no separate Louver Style group is required. Required accessories reduce to the Crown faceplate and the classic moulded brick panels (AC02360). Performance is identical to the FP15A: up to 11 hours of burn time per load on a 25-inch log, 95,000 BTU/h maximum heat output, 1.6 g/h particulate emissions. The choice between FP15 and FP15A is purely an aesthetic decision around the front profile. Fireplace Insider ships the FP15 nationwide; installation by a WETT or NFI certified installer is recommended for warranty coverage.

Warranty

Valcourt fireplaces are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty issued by Stove Builder International (SBI), the manufacturer of the Valcourt brand. The warranty is provided to the original retail purchaser at the original installation address and is non-transferable. Coverage begins on the date of purchase indicated on the invoice; if the invoice cannot be provided, the warranty period is determined by the date of manufacture stamped on the appliance. The original invoice must be retained as proof of purchase to claim warranty service.

Coverage applies to the firebox structure, body, and combustion components. Glass breakage from thermal stress is not covered, and the warranty excludes damage caused by improper installation, overfiring, use of fuel other than dry cordwood, normal wear of paint and refractory bricks, modifications to the appliance, and damage from chimney fires. Specific component warranty periods and exclusions are detailed in full in the owner's manual; review it before registering your warranty at valcourtinc.com. Optional electrical components such as blowers carry a shorter coverage period, typically two years on parts.
