FP15A Overview

The Valcourt FP15A Waterloo Arched is the flagship size in Valcourt's high-efficiency line, the largest EPA 2020 certified Valcourt model on the platform, paired with an arched-faceplate aesthetic. Driving the performance is Valcourt's patented intelligent air control system, which automatically modulates combustion: once the firebox reaches optimum temperature, the system closes the second primary air damper and adjusts the secondary air control without manual intervention. The 4.28 cu. ft. firebox holds enough wood to deliver up to 11 hours per load, the longest burn time in the family.

The FP15A is heavily customizable. Required: a black arched faceplate (VA15FA07), classic moulded brick panels (AC02360), and one of four louver styles (Classic, Arabesque, Urban, or Mission, note Crown is not offered on the arched). The included 176 CFM blower, 25-inch log capacity, and 95,000 BTU/h maximum output set the FP15A apart from the smaller Lafayette models. The square-front sibling is the FP15 Waterloo, which uses the Crown faceplate and no louver group. Fireplace Insider ships the FP15A nationwide; installation by a WETT or NFI certified installer is recommended for warranty coverage.

Warranty

Valcourt fireplaces are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty issued by Stove Builder International (SBI), the manufacturer of the Valcourt brand. The warranty is provided to the original retail purchaser at the original installation address and is non-transferable. Coverage begins on the date of purchase indicated on the invoice; if the invoice cannot be provided, the warranty period is determined by the date of manufacture stamped on the appliance. The original invoice must be retained as proof of purchase to claim warranty service.

Coverage applies to the firebox structure, body, and combustion components. Glass breakage from thermal stress is not covered, and the warranty excludes damage caused by improper installation, overfiring, use of fuel other than dry cordwood, normal wear of paint and refractory bricks, modifications to the appliance, and damage from chimney fires. Optional electrical components such as blowers carry a shorter coverage period, typically two years on parts.
