TN40-INSERT Overview
The True North TN40 Pellet Insert is the insert model in the TN40 pellet platform. It is designed to drop into an existing masonry or factory-built fireplace and convert it into a thermostat-controlled biofuel heater. The insert ships complete with a standard surround sized 31 inches high by 42 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep. For installations with a larger fireplace opening, an optional oversize surround in metallic black is available at 34 inches high by 48 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep.
Heat output ranges from 8,000 BTU on low to 36,000 BTU on high at 73 percent efficiency, with EPA-certified emissions of 0.69 g/hr. The 60 pound hopper, easy-opening lid with safety shut-off switch, and self-cleaning stainless steel burn pot liner are common to the TN40 platform. Operation is the same simple 3-mode digital system as the TN40 stove: manual, automatic, or high/low when paired with an optional wall thermostat. Mobile home approved.
