True North TN20 Wood Insert
TN20-INSERT Overview
The True North TN20 Wood Insert is the only insert in the True North wood line. It is engineered to drop into an existing masonry or factory-built wood-burning fireplace and convert it into a high-efficiency heating appliance. The insert ships complete with a gasketed cast iron door, the standard surround, and a factory blower included as standard equipment. The 2.0 cubic foot firebox accepts logs up to 18 inches and produces 55,000 BTU on cord wood with 73 percent HHV efficiency.
The standard surround measures 27 inches high by 38 inches wide. For installations that need to cover a larger fireplace opening, two oversize options are available as separate items: an oversize backing plate (32 by 48 inches) and an oversize surround extension (31 by 46 inches at 2 inch depth). Note that the surround extension is intended for use with the standard surround, not as a replacement. Like the rest of the True North wood line, the TN20 Insert uses a catalytic-free tube combustion system, single-lever air control, and is EPA 2020 certified. This is the Series B revision.
