BX42 Overview

The Napoleon BX42 Ascent X is the 42-inch step-up from the BX36 in the Ascent X family, with a higher 30,000 BTU output across the wider firebox. Like its smaller sibling, the BX42 ships with the NIGHT LIGHT top accent, a variable-speed blower, ceramic glass, the High Definition oak log set, and the Pan-style burner with flame/heat adjustment - all standard. ProFlame II IPI is included. Both NG and LP are factory-built at the same price.

Framing is 43 1/2 inches wide by 38 inches tall by 17 1/2 inches deep. The BX42 has eight decorative panel choices (one more than the BX36, adding Sandstone Standard Brick) and three trim options including the dramatic Wrought Iron Scalloped surround. The decorative front choices - Heritage or Zen - finish the design. Optional UHM and LHAD heat management are available for TV mounting and remote-room heat.

Warranty

The Napoleon President's Limited Lifetime Warranty covers original purchaser registration. Combustion chamber, heat exchanger, gas valve, ignitor and flame sensor are warranted for a limited lifetime. Aluminized parts (burner pan, heat shield, top brace) are warranted for 10 years. Glass thermal breakage is warranted for 5 years. Plated and painted parts (door overlay, louvers, plenum) are warranted for 2 years. Electrical components (blower, switches, wiring, ignition module) are warranted for 1 year. Coverage is for the original owner at the original installation address and is not transferable. Glass breakage by impact, normal wear, paint touch up, gold plating discoloration from cleaning, and consumable items including light bulbs and batteries are excluded. Coverage begins on the date of original installation, or for new construction the earlier of first occupancy or six months after retail purchase. Refer to the owner's manual for full warranty terms.
