B42 Overview

The Napoleon B42 is the 42-inch unit in the standard Ascent family, sitting below the BX42 Ascent X. As with the B36, the price book lists four B42 SKUs at the same MSRP - both fuels (NG and LP) factory, and Electronic IPI or Millivolt ignition. The B42 step up from the B36 buys roughly 2,000 BTU more output (22,000 vs 20,000) and a wider 43 1/2-inch firebox.

Framing is 43 1/2 inches wide by 38 inches tall by 17 1/2 inches deep, same as the BX42. Standard equipment includes the safety barrier, log set, Pan-style burner, and tempered glass. Decorative options include MIRRO-FLAME reflective panels, four brick panel patterns (Old Town Red Herringbone, Sandstone, Westminster Herringbone, Westminster Standard), Heritage or Zen decorative fronts, and the dramatic Wrought Iron surround.

Warranty

The Napoleon President's Limited Lifetime Warranty covers original purchaser registration. Combustion chamber, heat exchanger, gas valve, ignitor and flame sensor are warranted for a limited lifetime. Aluminized parts (burner pan, heat shield, top brace) are warranted for 10 years. Glass thermal breakage is warranted for 5 years. Plated and painted parts (door overlay, louvers, plenum) are warranted for 2 years. Electrical components (blower, switches, wiring, ignition module) are warranted for 1 year. Coverage is for the original owner at the original installation address and is not transferable. Glass breakage by impact, normal wear, paint touch up, gold plating discoloration from cleaning, and consumable items including light bulbs and batteries are excluded. Coverage begins on the date of original installation, or for new construction the earlier of first occupancy or six months after retail purchase. Refer to the owner's manual for full warranty terms.
