B36 Overview

The Napoleon B36 is the 36-inch standard Ascent, sitting one rung below the BX36 Ascent X. The price book lists four B36 SKUs at the same MSRP - both fuels (NG and LP) are factory-built, and the buyer additionally chooses between Electronic IPI and Millivolt ignition. Millivolt ignition is preferred where a standing pilot is acceptable and during power outages a standalone fireplace is needed; Electronic IPI saves gas by eliminating the standing pilot but requires battery back-up power.

Framing is 37 1/2 inches wide by 38 inches tall by 17 1/2 inches deep, the same as the BX36 - so the buyer can rough-in for either model and decide closer to install. Standard equipment includes the safety barrier, included log set, Pan-style burner, and tempered glass. Five decorative panel choices and four trim/surround options including the Wrought Iron and Standard Safety Barrier surrounds dress the front.

Warranty

The Napoleon President's Limited Lifetime Warranty covers original purchaser registration. Combustion chamber, heat exchanger, gas valve, ignitor and flame sensor are warranted for a limited lifetime. Aluminized parts (burner pan, heat shield, top brace) are warranted for 10 years. Glass thermal breakage is warranted for 5 years. Plated and painted parts (door overlay, louvers, plenum) are warranted for 2 years. Electrical components (blower, switches, wiring, ignition module) are warranted for 1 year. Coverage is for the original owner at the original installation address and is not transferable. Glass breakage by impact, normal wear, paint touch up, gold plating discoloration from cleaning, and consumable items including light bulbs and batteries are excluded. Coverage begins on the date of original installation, or for new construction the earlier of first occupancy or six months after retail purchase. Refer to the owner's manual for full warranty terms.
