Flat Sawn Beam Mantel Overview

The Flat Sawn Beam Mantel is the transitional piece in the Bluegrass Collection: clean enough for contemporary spaces, textured enough to feel handcrafted. Modeled from a rough-cut western red cedar beam, this mantel takes its visual cue from the four-rail paddock fences that border Kentucky's thoroughbred horse farms. The cross-section is 8.25" deep by 4" high, giving it a low, refined profile that works particularly well above linear gas fireplaces, slim electric inserts, and modern stone surrounds. The face shows smooth grain with circular saw marks, while the top and bottom surfaces show rough-sawn woodgrain.

Cast in patented Burncrete™ and certified non-combustible to ASTM E136, the Flat Sawn can be installed closer to the firebox than a real cedar beam. The hollow-core construction keeps weight low and minimizes heat transfer to the display surface. The kit includes mounting bracket, fasteners, and touch-up kit. Five hand-painted standard colors and three sizes from 48" to 72" make this one of the most flexible options in the collection. Available accessories include matching beam extensions, mantel corners, and decorative corbels.

Warranty

Lexington Hearth 1-Year Limited Warranty: All Lexington Hearth mantels are warranted against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Coverage applies to the original owner and is non-transferable. If a defect is found, Lexington Hearth will repair the mantel if possible, or replace it with a new mantel of equal or greater value if it cannot be repaired. Mantels are individually hand-cast and hand-painted; minor variances in color, weight, and final dimensions are normal and not covered as defects. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, alteration, accidental damage, normal wear, or exposure to conditions outside the product's intended use. Lexington Hearth disclaims any liability for incidental or consequential damages arising out of breach of this warranty.
