IDV26 Overview

The Kingsman IDV26 is a 26" direct vent gas insert built to retrofit medium-size wood-burning fireplaces. The IDV26 ships with a dual burner, glowing embers, ceramic heat-radiating glass, on/off rocker switch, and heat-activated variable-speed blower as standard. The slim Black Clean View finishing kit (I26CV1BL) and MQLOGF26 7-piece fiber split oak log set are included in the listed price.

At 30,000 BTU on natural gas, the IDV26 hits the highest efficiency rating in the IDV family at up to 68% on propane. Minimum existing fireplace opening is 28" / 33" W x 19 1/2" H x 14 1/4" D (depending on CV), with the lower minimum width applying when components are removed. Three ignition tiers are available: SIT millivolt, Proflame 1 IPI, and Proflame 2 IPI which includes built-in remote thermostat, modulation, and fan control. Three primary Clean View finish options (Slim default, Slim Picture Frame, and Wide for 28" minimum openings) accommodate a range of original fireplace dimensions; additional variants like the Slim 3 1/2" depth and Wide Picture Frame are available by special order.

Warranty

Kingsman Limited Lifetime Warranty. The heat exchanger, combustion chamber, and burner are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for as long as the unit is owned by the original purchaser at the original installation site. Coverage applies only when the unit is installed inside the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada, in accordance with the printed installation instructions and applicable building codes.

During the first year after installation, Kingsman provides replacement parts and labor for any component found defective in materials or workmanship, with prior approval and through an authorized Kingsman dealer. Accent light bulbs, gasketing, and paint are excluded from the one-year coverage. Beyond year one, the Limited Lifetime coverage is parts only; labor, freight, and handling are not covered.

The warranty does not cover damage from accident, abuse, negligence, misuse, riot, fire, flood, Acts of God, corrosive atmospheres (chlorine, fluorine, etc.), unauthorized alteration or repair, improper installation or component matching, or failure to perform proper maintenance. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser at the original installation site.
