IDV24 Overview

The Kingsman IDV24 is a 24" direct vent gas insert designed to convert a small or medium existing wood-burning fireplace into a clean, controllable gas appliance. It ships with a dual burner, glowing embers, decorative ash bed, ceramic glass, an on/off rocker switch, and a heat-activated variable-speed blower as standard. The required Black Clean View finishing kit (I24CV1BL) and LOGF24OAK 5-piece fiber split oak log set are included in the listed price.

At 24,000 BTU on natural gas (24,000 BTU on propane), the IDV24 is the entry size in the IDV insert family and fits a minimum existing fireplace opening of 24 1/4" W x 18 1/2" H x 14" D. Three ignition tiers are available: standard SIT millivolt, Proflame 1 IPI (electronic ignition with remote-ready harness), and Proflame 2 IPI which adds a remote thermostat, modulating flame control, fan control, and built-in halogen accent lights. Mobile home, bedroom, and bed-sitting room approved. Uses Kingsman flex venting and termination only.

Warranty

Kingsman Limited Lifetime Warranty. The heat exchanger, combustion chamber, and burner are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for as long as the unit is owned by the original purchaser at the original installation site. Coverage applies only when the unit is installed inside the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada, in accordance with the printed installation instructions and applicable building codes.

During the first year after installation, Kingsman provides replacement parts and labor for any component found defective in materials or workmanship, with prior approval and through an authorized Kingsman dealer. Accent light bulbs, gasketing, and paint are excluded from the one-year coverage. Beyond year one, the Limited Lifetime coverage is parts only; labor, freight, and handling are not covered.

The warranty does not cover damage from accident, abuse, negligence, misuse, riot, fire, flood, Acts of God, corrosive atmospheres (chlorine, fluorine, etc.), unauthorized alteration or repair, improper installation or component matching, or failure to perform proper maintenance. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser at the original installation site.
