IDV44 Overview

The Kingsman IDV44 is a 44" direct vent gas insert and the largest unit in the IDV family. Standard equipment includes a dual burner with glowing embers, ceramic glass, SIT valve, on/off rocker switch, and heat-activated variable-speed blower. The Black Clean View finishing kit (I44CV1BL) and LOGF36 5-piece fiber split oak log set are included in the listed price.

At 34,250 BTU on natural gas (30,000 BTU on propane), the IDV44 delivers up to 62% FE in IPI configuration and has the largest viewing area in the family at 29 7/8" W x 18 3/8" H. Minimum existing fireplace opening is 32 7/8" W x 25 3/4" H x 18" D. The IDV44 uses an asymmetric 3" intake / 4" exhaust venting layout (vs the 3"/3" used on smaller IDV sizes); the MG Duravent compatibility kit is order #46DVA-CL34. Three ignition tiers are available: SIT millivolt, Proflame 1 IPI, and Proflame 2 IPI which includes built-in remote thermostat, modulation, and fan control. Optional RSP10 Glass Tray with bronze ember glass is sold separately.

Warranty

Kingsman Limited Lifetime Warranty. The heat exchanger, combustion chamber, and burner are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for as long as the unit is owned by the original purchaser at the original installation site. Coverage applies only when the unit is installed inside the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada, in accordance with the printed installation instructions and applicable building codes.

During the first year after installation, Kingsman provides replacement parts and labor for any component found defective in materials or workmanship, with prior approval and through an authorized Kingsman dealer. Accent light bulbs, gasketing, and paint are excluded from the one-year coverage. Beyond year one, the Limited Lifetime coverage is parts only; labor, freight, and handling are not covered.

The warranty does not cover damage from accident, abuse, negligence, misuse, riot, fire, flood, Acts of God, corrosive atmospheres (chlorine, fluorine, etc.), unauthorized alteration or repair, improper installation or component matching, or failure to perform proper maintenance. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser at the original installation site.
