FP1LM Overview

The Valcourt FP1LM Manoir is the updated version of Valcourt's first wood fireplace, originally launched in 1992. The defining feature is a pair of steel-framed ceramic glass double doors that slide effortlessly into each side of the firebox without special tools, leaving an unobstructed view of the fire when fully retracted. A premium 176 CFM blower is included as standard equipment, which is unusual at this price point, most decorative fireplaces sell the blower as an accessory. The base unit ships without a faceplate; choose modern or traditional black to complete the install.

The Manoir qualifies under the EPA Phase II Voluntary Program for decorative wood fireplaces with particulate emissions of 2.9 g/kg, which is meaningfully cleaner than the 4.2 g/kg of the Antoinette and Frontenac and reflects the updated combustion design. The 4.25 cu. ft. firebox and 20-inch log capacity put the Manoir between the Antoinette and Frontenac in size. Optional gravity and forced air kits are available for buyers who want to redirect heat to other rooms, these are sold separately and detailed in the manual. Fireplace Insider ships the FP1LM nationwide; professional installation by a certified hearth installer is required.

Warranty

Valcourt fireplaces are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty issued by Stove Builder International (SBI), the manufacturer of the Valcourt brand. The warranty is provided to the original retail purchaser at the original installation address and is non-transferable. Coverage begins on the date of purchase indicated on the invoice; if the invoice cannot be provided, the warranty period is determined by the date of manufacture stamped on the appliance. The original invoice must be retained as proof of purchase to claim warranty service.

Coverage applies to the firebox structure, body, and combustion components. Glass breakage from thermal stress is not covered, and the warranty excludes damage caused by improper installation, overfiring, use of fuel other than dry cordwood, normal wear of paint and refractory bricks, modifications to the appliance, and damage from chimney fires. Optional electrical components such as blowers carry a shorter coverage period, typically two years on parts.
