1440-B Overview
The Morsø 1440 B is the convection counterpart to the 1410 B, sharing the same compact 1400-series cast iron platform but adding a convection jacket that distributes heat more evenly throughout the room. Rated at 5.9 kW (24,733 BTU/hr) and heating up to 1,000 sq. ft., the 1440 B is built for small homes, weekend cottages, and similar spaces where consistent room temperature matters more than radiant feel.
Standard equipment includes Morsø's airwash system, riddling grate, ash tray, and a tertiary air supply for cleaner combustion. The convection design draws cool air in at the base, heats it as it passes around the firebox, and releases it from the top, circulating warmth without the high surface temperatures of a pure radiant stove. The 1440 B uses 6-inch flue pipe with top or rear exit. Outside air supply is not available on this model.
