C160GL Overview

The Scottsdale C160 GL is the entry-level wood-burning fireplace insert in the Country Stoves lineup, sized for smaller existing openings and lower-output zone heating needs. It is offered with two door styles at the same price: Arched (C160AGL) or Traditional (C160TGL). Unlike the TFT-equipped Carrollton 230 and 300, the Scottsdale uses a conventional firebox geometry without the cast-iron heat exchanger. It has a 1.6 cubic foot firebox, accepts logs up to 18 inches, outputs 55,600 BTU per hour, and heats 600 to 1,300 square feet. Minimum existing opening is 25.5 wide by 19.5 tall by 12.75 deep, the smallest depth requirement in the Country Stoves wood insert family.

Unlike the Carrollton inserts, the Scottsdale's blower is optional rather than standard. Surround panels are required and are sold as either two-piece kits (top + side surrounds matched to opening size) or as one-piece panels for the 26.5 by 40 size. Four common opening sizes are supported: 26.5 by 40, 26.5 by 48, 30.5 by 40, and 30.5 by 48. Optional accessories include arched or traditional faceplates in Nickel or Brushed Nickel, decorative surround trim in four sizes, a 160 CFM blower in Black, Nickel, or Brushed Nickel, and offset boxes for non-standard flue alignment. Confirm fireplace opening dimensions before ordering surround panels.

Limited lifetime warranty from Country Stoves (Innovative Hearth Products) covering the firebox, heat exchanger, and welded steel components against defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser at the original installation address. Other components such as gaskets, glass, paint, plated parts, electrical components, and firebrick are covered for shorter durations as outlined in the manufacturer warranty document. Coverage begins on the date of original retail purchase. Damage from improper installation, abuse, alteration, or normal wear is excluded. Warranty is non-transferable.
