S160GL Overview
The Sprucewood S160 GL is the entry-level mid-feature freestanding wood stove from Country Stoves, sitting above the Sumter 1600 cast-door stove and below the TFT-equipped Georgetown lineup. The S160 has a 1.6 cubic foot firebox, accepts logs up to 18 inches, and is EPA-certified with a 55,600 BTU per hour output. Heating range is 700 to 1,400 square feet, suitable for zone heating a single open living area.
Standard equipment includes ceramic glass with integrated air wash, high-density firebrick liner, stainless baffle, and a 6 inch flue collar. The Sprucewood is offered with two door styles at the same price: Arched (S160AGL) or Traditional (S160TGL), both finished in black with a nickel nameplate. The stove ships without a base and requires either a pedestal (with or without ash drawer) or one of four leg kits (Olympic Black, Nickel, or Brushed Nickel, or Cascade Steel Black). Leg installations also require the WSHS-160 heat shield. Optional accessories include matching arched or traditional faceplates in Nickel or Brushed Nickel and a 700 CFM blower.
