GV230GL Overview
The Georgetown 230 GL is a mid-tier freestanding wood stove in the Country Stoves freestanding lineup, sitting between the entry-level Sumter and Sprucewood stoves and the larger Georgetown 300. It uses Country Stoves Thermal Fin Technology (TFT), a cast-iron heat exchanger that adds 32 percent more surface area than a standard firebox to push more heat into the room from the same fuel load. The stove is EPA-certified, accepts logs up to 18 inches, and outputs 76,000 BTU per hour with a heating range of 1,200 to 2,200 square feet.
Standard equipment includes a 2.3 cubic foot firebox, ceramic glass with integrated air wash, high-density firebrick liner, stainless baffle, air-boost startup timer, and a 6 inch flue collar. The stove ships without a base and requires either the GV GL pedestal or one of six leg kits (Coastal, Lakeview, or Olympic in Black, Nickel, or Brushed Nickel). Optional accessories include louver kits, a Brushed Nickel or Nickel face plate, a 700 CFM blower, and an ash pan kit. Plan stud framing and floor-protection clearances around the chosen base.
