VRT3136 Overview
The Superior VRT3136 is the 36-inch Pro Series vent-free firebox in the VRT3100 lineup, a step up from the Merit-tier VRT2500 with two factory liner choices. The clean-faced heat-circulating firebox features a 24-inch tall and full-width opening and ships with a junction box, mesh fire screen, and factory-supplied heat deflection hood (required for all installations). Framing footprint: 42-1/4" wide x 40-1/4" tall x 20-1/2 inches deep.
This firebox is sold without a log set, burner, or gas valve; pair the VRT3136 with any ANSI Z21.11.2-listed vent-free log set of the appropriate size. The firebox accepts 24-inch vent-free log sets. Choose between White Stacked refractory liners (with refractory floor) at the base price, or Back Bay Brown ceramic fiber liners (with black metal floor) for an upgrade. Optional accessories include the textured iron arched twin-pane screen door, FBK-100/200 blower kits, OAK-UVFRC outside air kit, and FWSK wall switch. Listed by PFS to ANSI Z21.91.
This is a firebox only. A vent-free gas log set, burner, and gas valve must be ordered separately to complete the installation. The firebox accepts any ANSI Z21.11.2-listed vent-free log set of the appropriate size. Warranty
The Superior VRT Vent-Free Firebox Series carries Innovative Hearth Products' 20-year limited warranty on the firebox and body, covering parts and labor when installed by a listed IHP supplier. Refractory panels and Mosaic Masonry components carry a 1-year warranty against thermal breakage. Electrical components, fans, switches, and accessories carry a 1-year warranty. Paint, plating, and finish are excluded. Vent-free log sets, burners, and gas controls are sold separately and are warranted by their respective manufacturers. Coverage begins at the date of installation and is non-transferable. Damage from abuse, accident, improper installation, normal wear, or unauthorized modification is not covered. Proof of purchase required.
IMPORTANT: Vent-free fireboxes are NOT permitted in California or Massachusetts and may be restricted in other jurisdictions. Customer is responsible for verifying local code compliance before purchase.
