Bentley 48 Overview

The Marquis Bentley 48 (MQZCV48) is the largest single-sided Bentley and the highest-output Bentley overall: 42,500 BTU NG / 42,250 BTU LP, with a 43" wide by 36 3/4" tall tempered glass viewing area. The Bentley 48 is a heater-rated (ANSI Z21.88) clean-view direct vent gas fireplace with full vented chase design, allowing cool-touch walls and reduced mantel clearances. Choice of three valve tiers (MV / IPI PF1 / IPI PF2). Tempered glass only - the Bentley 48 is not available with ceramic glass.

Framing dimensions are 48 3/8" wide by 49 11/16" tall by 22 15/16" deep. The Bentley 48 uses a 5/8" hard pipe flue (note: not compatible with flex venting due to the larger flue size). Minimum vented chase enclosure height is 78" for natural gas, 80" for propane. Ships with hi/lo wall switch and integrated InvisiMesh safety screen. Optional MQZCV48GT glass tray (requires 25 lbs glass media) for ember-bed aesthetic, ULK4 four-lamp universal light kit, and full designer door lineup.

Valve System Selection

The Bentley 48 is available with three valve systems:

• Standard Millivolt: Proven thermopile-powered valve. Operates during power outages without electricity. Compatible with millivolt remote controls (GTRC $357.50) and millivolt thermostats (Z2MT $130.90, Z80PT $204.60).
• IPI PF1 (Proflame 1): Intermittent pilot ignition. No standing pilot flame between uses. Compatible with PF1 remotes (EGTRC $421.30, EGTMRCN/P $572). Battery backup available (WMBH $251.90) for power-outage operation.
• IPI PF2 (Proflame 2): Premium IPI tier. Includes Remote control with thermostat, modulating output, fan control, and accent lighting control built-in. WiFi-compatible (RCP2WIFI dongle $227.70) for smartphone control.

Conversion kits are available if you need to switch fuel post-install (~$105.60 millivolt, $124.30 IPI, $227.70 PF2). All valve types accept the same firebox, liners, and accessories.

Warranty

The Marquis Bentley 48 is backed by the Marquis Limited Lifetime Warranty. Coverage applies to the original purchaser at the original installation address and is non-transferable. Specific coverage periods by component:

• Lifetime: Heat exchanger and combustion chamber (firebox)
• 10 years: Burner assembly
• 5 years: Glass against thermal breakage (excludes impact damage)
• 2 years: Electrical components (millivolt valve, IPI module, remote receiver, blower, IPI Proflame 2 modules, wiring harnesses)
• 1 year: Refractory and porcelain liners, log sets, glass media, gaskets, paint, and other consumable items

Coverage begins on the date of original installation by a qualified gas fitter. For new construction, the warranty period starts at the earlier of (a) the first occupancy of the home or (b) six months after the dealer purchase date. Warranty service is provided by Marquis (R-Co. Inc., Winnipeg, Manitoba) through authorized dealers. Damage from improper installation, abrasive cleaners, substitute glass, modifications, water damage, or operation outside the rated environment is not covered. Separately-Orderable Accessories

The following accessories are not included in the configurations above but can be ordered alongside the fireplace and shipped together. Contact Fireplace Insider for pricing on accessories not listed in the configurator.

• Log Sets: The Bentley 48 requires either a log set or a glass media bed for proper operation. Available log sets vary by size:
• MQLOGF48 Traditional Oak ($1,593.90 - NG only), MQLOGF48B Burnt Oak ($1,593.90), MQLOGF39BW Birch ($1,147.30), MQBBITS Birch add-on bits ($420.20), or MQLOGF48D Driftwood ($1,169.30 - requires MQZCV48GT glass tray, no glass media required).
• Glass Tray (MQZCV48GT, $266.20): Replaces the standard log set with an ember-bed aesthetic. Requires glass media. Not compatible with brick liners on ZCV39/42 models.
• Glass Media (Decorative): Bronze (MQG5C), Black (MQG5B), Cobalt Blue (MQG5A), White (MQG5W), ZIRCON Glacier Ice (MQG5ZG). All five colors available at $124.30 per 5 lb bag.
• Designer Doors: Black with Safety Screen included. MQ48DD1BL Series 1 ($1,307.90), MQ48DD2BL Series 2 ($1,468.50), MQ48DD3BL Series 3 ($1,532.30).
• Fan Kit (Z46FK, $421.30): Heat-activated fan kit with variable-speed wall control. For PF2 valve installations, the Z46FK2 fan kit ($391.60) integrates with the PF2 remote's fan control.
• Light Kit (ULK4, $695.20): Universal accent lighting kit. Four-lamp.
• Replacement Safety Screen (ZCV48CSS, $445.50): Replacement front safety screen barrier. The unit ships with one screen included.
• WiFi Dongle (RCP2WIFI, $227.70): WiFi dongle and harness kit for Proflame 2 appliances. Enables smartphone control via the Proflame app. Compatible only with PF2 valve variants.
• Conversion Kits: Field conversion kits available: Millivolt $105.60 each direction, IPI $124.30 each direction, IPI PF2 $227.70 each direction.
• Remote Controls: Compatible remotes vary by valve system. Millivolt: GTRC ($357.50), GTMRCN/P thermostat-modulating ($506), GTFRCN/P thermostat-modulating-fan ($804.10). IPI PF1: EGTRC ($421.30), EGTMRCN/P ($572), EGTFRCN/P ($844.80). PF2 valves include their compatible remote built into the valve tier.
