MPI27-B Overview
The Mallard Point 27 is the entry size in the premium Mallard Point gas insert family, sitting above the Bremerton 27 in features and price (similar minimum opening, but higher trim and styling options). Unlike the Bremerton's ceramic fiber logs, the Mallard Point 27 ships with a ceramic fiber log set with a Total Comfort Control remote control included as standard. Output is 25,000 BTU per hour with a turn-down to 18,000 BTU. Minimum opening is 27 wide by 18 tall by 15 deep, identical to the Bremerton 27.
Standard equipment includes the ceramic fiber logs, factory-installed variable-speed blower, electronic ignition with battery backup, ceramic glass barrier, and the Total Comfort Control full-function remote. Required separately purchased accessories are a façade (Vista or Full View, both Black), a liner kit (Black Paint, Black Enamel Porcelain, Black Tie Stacked Ceramic, or Heritage Brown Stacked Ceramic), and a surround panel sized to the existing opening (five sizes from 26 by 37 to 38 by 46 trimmable). Optional decorative accent trims are offered for either façade in Aged Silver: the Vista takes the Vista Trim; the Full View takes Frontier, Highliner, or Iron Rail. Trim selection is exclusive by façade, not interchangeable. LP conversion is available via the GCK-SM-MPI27 kits.

Burner, valve, and ignition components are covered for shorter durations (typically 1 to 5 years) as outlined in the manufacturer warranty document. Glass, gaskets, paint, plated parts, log sets, blowers, and electronic components are covered for shorter periods. Coverage begins on the date of original retail purchase. Damage from improper installation, abuse, alteration, gas pressure outside specifications, or normal wear is excluded. Warranty is non-transferable.
