VRT4036 Overview

The Superior VRT4036 is the 36-inch Custom Series radiant vent-free gas fireplace in the VRT4000 lineup, a step up from the compact VCM3026. The radiant clean-face firebox design eliminates visible interior sheet metal for a more refined appearance. The fireplace ships with the firebox, burner, factory-installed variable-thermostat blower, standard black painted interior, and durable textured powder-coat exterior finish. Up to 33,000 BTU output at 99.9% heating efficiency.

Choose between four factory configurations: Natural Gas or Liquid Propane fuel, with either Millivolt ignition ($2489, remote-ready) or Electronic Ignition ($3089, includes full-function remote control). A Boulder Mountain concrete log set (LBG24BM, $339) is REQUIRED separately - selecting the log set option below will include it in the order. Optional accessories include 4 remote control / wall switch upgrades. Listed to ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54. INDOOR USE ONLY.

Vent-free jurisdictional restrictions apply. Vent-free gas fireplaces are PROHIBITED in California and restricted in Massachusetts, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and certain municipalities. Most jurisdictions also restrict vent-free installation in bedrooms or bathrooms. Verify local code compliance before purchase. Vent-free appliances burn with extremely high efficiency (99.9% AFUE) but release combustion products into the room. Maximum BTU input may be limited by room size per local code (typically 10 BTU per cubic foot). The included oxygen-depletion sensor (ODS) provides a primary safety control.

The Superior VCM and VRT Vent-Free Front Open Series carry Innovative Hearth Products' 20-year limited warranty on the firebox body, ceramic fiber logs (against thermal breakage for 1 year), and screen barrier. Burner, gas controls, electronic ignition, blower, and remote controls carry a 1-year warranty. Coverage begins at the date of installation and is non-transferable. Damage from abuse, accident, improper installation, normal wear, or unauthorized modification is not covered. Proof of purchase required.
