Superior VRT3242 42" Vent-Free Gas Firebox

VRT3242 Overview

The Superior VRT3242 is the 42-inch Pro Radiant Series vent-free firebox in the VRT3200 lineup, a low-to-the-floor radiant design with a tall 28-inch opening built to evoke a traditional masonry hearth. Refractory brick panels are molded from real hand-cut firebrick in either Stacked or Herringbone pattern. A factory-supplied heat deflection hood is included and required for all installations.

This firebox is sold without a log set, burner, or gas valve; pair the VRT3242 with any ANSI Z21.11.2-listed vent-free log set of the appropriate size. The firebox accepts 30-inch vent-free log sets. Note: unlike the heat-circulating VRT2500/VRT3100 platforms, the VRT3200 radiant design does NOT support an optional blower kit or decorative screen door. The only accessory option in the price book is the OAK-UVFRC outside air kit. Listed by PFS to ANSI Z21.91.

This is a firebox only. A vent-free gas log set, burner, and gas valve must be ordered separately to complete the installation. The firebox accepts any ANSI Z21.11.2-listed vent-free log set of the appropriate size. Warranty

The Superior VRT Vent-Free Firebox Series carries Innovative Hearth Products' 20-year limited warranty on the firebox and body, covering parts and labor when installed by a listed IHP supplier. Refractory panels and Mosaic Masonry components carry a 1-year warranty against thermal breakage. Electrical components, fans, switches, and accessories carry a 1-year warranty. Paint, plating, and finish are excluded. Vent-free log sets, burners, and gas controls are sold separately and are warranted by their respective manufacturers. Coverage begins at the date of installation and is non-transferable. Damage from abuse, accident, improper installation, normal wear, or unauthorized modification is not covered. Proof of purchase required.

IMPORTANT: Vent-free fireboxes are NOT permitted in California or Massachusetts and may be restricted in other jurisdictions. Customer is responsible for verifying local code compliance before purchase.
