DRL3535 Overview

The Superior DRL3500 Series is the Pro tier in Superior's linear lineup and the step up from the entry-level DRL2000. The 35-inch DRL3535 ships fully equipped: electronic IPI/CPI ignition with seamless battery backup, platinum crushed glass media, tempered glass, a black painted interior, a factory-installed variable-speed blower with six speed settings, a multi-function remote (IPI/CPI, thermostat, flame height, blower, lighting), mood-enhancing floor lighting, and the standard protective screen barrier. Where the DRL2000 makes you add the blower and remote as accessories, the DRL3500 includes them, which makes the upcharge worthwhile for buyers who know they want the blower and remote anyway.

Framing dimensions match the DRL2000 at the same nominal size (the DRL3535 measures 35-7/8" wide by 29" tall by 18" deep), so the cabinet swap is clean if a buyer started planning around a DRL2000 install. The fireplace is rated to ANSI Z21.88 / CSA 2.33 and uses 4.5 inch by 7.5 inch Secure Vent components. Optional decorative surrounds, porcelain liners, and additional floor media (driftwood logs, river rock, alternate glass colors) are available to customize the look.

Warranty

The Superior DRL Series gas fireplaces carry the Innovative Hearth Products (IHP) 20-Year Limited Warranty. Coverage breaks down by component: the firebox, burner, logs, refractories, and ceramic glass are covered for 20 years; gaskets, glass tempered, and trim are covered for 5 years; ignition modules, valves, blowers, remotes, and other electronic components are covered for 2 years. Coverage begins on the date of installation, or for new construction, the earlier of first occupancy or six months after dealer sale. Warranty must commence no later than 24 months after IHP shipped the product, regardless of when it was installed.

The warranty is non-transferable and extends to the original owner only. The product must be purchased from a listed IHP dealer or distributor and installed in the United States or Canada in compliance with the printed installation manual, applicable building codes, and good trade practices. Excluded from coverage: damage from improper installation, modification, abuse, or use of non-IHP replacement parts; damage from chimney or venting components not approved for the appliance; consumables and items subject to normal wear (gaskets, glass damage, paint touch-up); incidental or consequential damages such as utility bills or property damage. Original proof of purchase is required for any warranty claim. IHP's sole obligation is repair, replacement, or refund at IHP's discretion.
