DRL2035 Overview

The Superior DRL2000 Series is the entry tier of Superior's contemporary linear lineup, built for smaller modern and transitional rooms where a clean low-profile fireplace matters more than premium accessories. The 35-inch DRL2035 ships with electronic IPI/CPI ignition, seamless battery backup, reflective black crushed glass media, tempered glass viewing window, a black painted interior, and the standard protective screen barrier. It does not include a blower or remote in the box, which keeps the price low for buyers who can add those accessories later or rely on wall-switch operation. The DRL2000 lives below the Pro-tier DRL3500 and the Custom-tier DRL4000, making it the value pick when the install is a smaller framing opening and the budget is the priority.

At 35-7/8" framing width and 18" depth, the DRL2035 fits standard 2x4 framing with no special build-out. The fireplace is rated to ANSI Z21.88 / CSA 2.33 and uses 4.5 inch by 7.5 inch Secure Vent rigid or Secure Flex direct-vent components for top or rear venting flexibility. Available factory in natural gas or liquid propane, with optional decorative surrounds, porcelain liners, blower kits, and remote controls sold separately so buyers can configure exactly what they need.

Warranty

The Superior DRL Series gas fireplaces carry the Innovative Hearth Products (IHP) 20-Year Limited Warranty. Coverage breaks down by component: the firebox, burner, logs, refractories, and ceramic glass are covered for 20 years; gaskets, glass tempered, and trim are covered for 5 years; ignition modules, valves, blowers, remotes, and other electronic components are covered for 2 years. Coverage begins on the date of installation, or for new construction, the earlier of first occupancy or six months after dealer sale. Warranty must commence no later than 24 months after IHP shipped the product, regardless of when it was installed.

The warranty is non-transferable and extends to the original owner only. The product must be purchased from a listed IHP dealer or distributor and installed in the United States or Canada in compliance with the printed installation manual, applicable building codes, and good trade practices. Excluded from coverage: damage from improper installation, modification, abuse, or use of non-IHP replacement parts; damage from chimney or venting components not approved for the appliance; consumables and items subject to normal wear (gaskets, glass damage, paint touch-up); incidental or consequential damages such as utility bills or property damage. Original proof of purchase is required for any warranty claim. IHP's sole obligation is repair, replacement, or refund at IHP's discretion.
