DRC2033 Overview
The Superior DRC2033 is a 33-inch compact contemporary direct vent gas fireplace built for tight spaces where a slim 14-1/2 inch framing depth is needed. Where the Traditional DRT2033 features ceramic logs, the DRC2033 swaps in a bed of reflective black crushed glass media beneath dancing yellow flames, giving it a clean modern look that fits transitional and contemporary interiors. The louverless heat-circulating firebox, tempered glass with protective barrier screen, and black painted interior are otherwise the same Merit Series build.
The DRC2033 ships from the factory in Natural Gas only with Electronic ignition and seamless battery backup, available in dedicated Top Vent or dedicated Rear Vent configurations (these are separate factory SKUs, not a combo flue). Liquid Propane installations are handled in the field with the GCKSEF039P conversion kit ($137). Standard reflective black crushed glass media can be customized to Reflective Blue or Platinum. Optional FBK-100/200/250 blower kits and four Proflame remote/wall switch options round out the accessory list. Listed by PFS Corporation, ANSI Z21.88, CSA 2.33, PFS report F13-094.

Warranty
The Superior DRC Contemporary Series carries Innovative Hearth Products' 20-year limited warranty on the firebox and body, covering parts and labor when installed by a listed IHP supplier. Glass is covered for 5 years against thermal breakage. Electrical components, fans, switches, and accessories carry a 1-year warranty. Paint, plating, and finish are excluded. Vent components, trim components, and parts not manufactured by IHP are warranted only as supplied by their respective manufacturers. Coverage begins at the date of installation and is non-transferable. Damage from abuse, accident, improper installation, normal wear, or unauthorized modification is not covered. Proof of purchase required.
