RD3N Overview

The Napoleon Rosedale (RD3N) is the newer hybrid-capable gas insert in Napoleon's remodel-grade lineup. With a 7-day millivolt ignition system, it operates without household power on the gas valve and can be paired with the optional standard blower and (forthcoming) hybrid electric heater for combined gas+electric operation that extends seasonality and reduces fuel use during shoulder months. Maximum output is 30,000 BTU on gas alone, with up to a 20% effective heat boost when combined with the hybrid electric mode.

This insert ships with a heat-radiating ceramic glass viewing area, standard safety screen, and Proflame II remote. A log media kit (Oak or Birch), a backerplate, and a faceplate are required for a complete installation; configure them below. An adjustable riser box is available as a separate accessory for taller fireplace openings.

This Napoleon insert is covered by the President's Limited Lifetime Warranty. Coverage applies to the original purchaser at the original installation address and is subject to the terms set out in Napoleon's warranty document. Key points:

• Lifetime: aluminized steel firebox / heat exchanger / combustion chamber, stainless steel burners, gas valves, glass against thermal breakage
• 10 years (parts and labor in years 1-2; parts only in years 3-10): electronic components and igniter assemblies
• 1 year: blowers, accessories, paint, plating, gaskets, batteries, remote controls, light bulbs, decorative media (logs, embers, glass beads, brick panels)
• Excluded: damage from improper installation, modifications, abuse, accident, use of non-Napoleon replacement parts, or installation outside Napoleon's specifications
• Warranty is non-transferable and begins at date of purchase
