2B-CLASSIC Overview

The Morsø 2B Classic 2020 has been in continuous production in various forms for more than 70 years and remains one of the most recognizable cast iron wood stoves in North America. Built on the same long-firebox forest stove platform as the 2B Standard, the 2B Classic adds taller legs, deeper presence, and ornamental cast iron detailing to deliver a heavier, more architectural stove for living rooms and main living spaces.

Maximum heat output is 31,988 BTU/hr with up to 1,200 sq. ft. of heating area. The long combustion chamber accepts logs up to 17 inches, and Morsø's tertiary air supply combined with pre-heated secondary air provides clean burns that meet EPA 2020 requirements. Standard equipment includes a riddling grate, ash tray, and air-washed glazed door. The 2B Classic ships with 25 cm legs; alternate 10 cm and 15 cm leg packages are available separately. Eligible for the 25C Federal tax credit at qualifying installations.

Warranty

Morsø Jernstøberi A/S provides a 10-year warranty on cast iron components against material and manufacturing defects, and a 5-year warranty on sheet iron stove components. Wear parts (vermiculite bricks, springs, baffles, base/front/riddling grates, glass) carry a 6-month warranty. Steel chimneys are warranted for 2 years. Morsø supplies spare parts for up to 10 years after a stove type is discontinued. The warranty period begins from the date of sale and does not cover damage from incorrect installation, overheating, firing with the wrong fuel, draft problems, or chimney faults.
