The Superior VRL3045 is the 45-inch Pro Series vent-free linear gas fireplace in the VRL3000 lineup, offering a sleek modern low-profile design ideal for contemporary and transitional spaces. The fireplace ships as a complete system: standard equipment includes electronic IPI/CPI ignition with seamless battery backup (continued operation during power outages), platinum crushed glass media, adjustable floor lighting with six distinctive settings, black painted interior, multi-function touchscreen remote, and a black bezel with standard protective screen barrier.

This is a vent-free system - no chimney required. VRL3045 delivers up to 23,000-18,000 BTU on natural gas or 21,000-17,000 BTU on liquid propane (modulating high/low) at an exceptional 99.9% AFUE efficiency. Choose between Natural Gas or Liquid Propane factory configuration at order time (priced identically). Optional accessories include the HTFLO-VF45 HeatFlo Convection Air Circulation Kit ($674, redirects heat upward through hidden ductwork to protect heat-sensitive TVs and artwork above the fireplace) OR the FBK-100 Standard Single-Speed Blower ($374) - these two are mutually exclusive. Additional optional accessories: decorative surrounds (matte black $393 or stainless $618), PLK-BLK-RNCL45 porcelain liner kit ($393), additional crushed glass media in three colors, the DWLS-VFL45 driftwood log set ($431), and the RIVROCK-25PK river rock kit ($224). Vent-free jurisdictional restrictions apply. Vent-free gas fireplaces are PROHIBITED in California and restricted in Massachusetts and certain municipalities. Verify local code compliance before purchase. Vent-free appliances burn with extremely high efficiency (99.9% AFUE) but release combustion products into the room. Maximum BTU input may be limited by room size per local code (typically 10 BTU per cubic foot). The included oxygen-depletion sensor (ODS) provides a primary safety control.

The Superior VRL Vent-Free Linear Series carries Innovative Hearth Products' 20-year limited warranty on the firebox body and ceramic glass against thermal breakage. Removable air tubes and refractory components carry a 1-year warranty. Optional blowers, HeatFlo kits, LED lighting, and remote controls carry a 1-year warranty. Burner, gas controls, and electronic IPI/CPI ignition components carry a 1-year warranty. Coverage begins at the date of installation and is non-transferable. Damage from abuse, accident, improper installation, normal wear, or unauthorized modification is not covered. Proof of purchase required.

Vent-free jurisdictional restrictions: Vent-free gas fireplaces are restricted in some jurisdictions. California prohibits vent-free gas appliances entirely. Massachusetts and certain municipal codes also restrict vent-free use. Verify local code compliance before purchase. The maximum BTU input rating may also be limited by local code based on room size.
