VRE4648 Overview

The Superior VRE4648 is the 48-inch Custom Series outdoor vent-free LINEAR gas fireplace in the VRE4600 lineup. Unlike the traditional VRE3200 and VRE4300 systems, the VRE4600 features a contemporary linear ribbon design with full-spectrum adjustable LED interior lights, a wall-mounted control box with on/off and high/low ignition controls, and Diamond Crystal large crushed glass media (included) instead of ceramic fiber logs. Stainless steel construction throughout, electronic ignition, and a flexible installation profile (only 15-inch framing depth) make this fireplace ideal for narrow walls in covered outdoor spaces and outdoor kitchens.

This fireplace ships configured for natural gas. For liquid propane installations, the LPK2 electronic conversion kit ($137) is required and sold separately - select the LP conversion option below to include it. Customize with optional Onyx Black or Sapphire Blue large crushed glass media (in addition to or in place of the included Diamond Crystal), the LVOST48 See-Through Conversion Kit ($865) for indoor/outdoor pass-through installations, and your choice of remote (basic on/off-hi/low or wireless wall mount). The BLWS48-B stainless steel outdoor weather cover ($865) is also available. Listed to ANSI Z21.97 and CSA 2.41 (UL MH#60069). OUTDOOR USE ONLY.

Outdoor use only. This is a complete vent-free outdoor gas fireplace system that ships with logs (or glass media on the linear models), burner, gas valve, electronic ignition, and wireless remote control. No chimney is required. However, this fireplace is NOT approved for indoor installation under any circumstances. The optional Stainless Steel Outdoor Weather Cover is strongly recommended for off-season protection from rain, snow, and debris.

The Superior VRE Outdoor Vent-Free Systems carry Innovative Hearth Products' 20-year limited warranty on the firebox body, covering parts and labor when installed by a listed IHP supplier. Refractory panels, ceramic fiber logs, and ceramic glass carry a 1-year warranty against thermal breakage. Stainless steel facing, log grates, mesh screens, glass media, LED lighting, and accessories carry a 1-year warranty. Burner, gas controls, electronic ignition, and remote controls carry a 1-year warranty. Coverage begins at the date of installation and is non-transferable. Damage from abuse, accident, improper installation, normal wear, weather exposure beyond design, or unauthorized modification is not covered. Proof of purchase required.

OUTDOOR USE ONLY. These vent-free gas fireplaces are listed for outdoor application only and may not be installed indoors. Vent-free outdoor systems are restricted in some jurisdictions; verify local code compliance before purchase. While the vent-free design eliminates the need for a chimney, ANSI Z21.97 / OMNI listings apply only when installed and operated per manufacturer instructions.
