The British Fires New Forest 75-inch Black Edition is a hand-finished electric fireplace engineered in Christchurch, Dorset on England's south coast and inspired by the New Forest National Park that surrounds the British Fires factory. The Black Edition is the flagship trim level for the North American market, combining the Deluxe Real Logs fuelbed (responsibly-sourced UK oak, individually scorched and hand-arranged) with the Rear Dark Glass that suppresses room reflections and lets the LED flame visuals appear with maximum depth and contrast. The flagship of the New Forest range, sized for great rooms, vaulted ceilings, and commercial installations. Pairs naturally with a 65-inch to 75-inch TV in a media wall configuration.

At the heart of every New Forest fireplace is British Fires' patented Air Curtain Technology (US Patent No. 121196428), an engineering design that controls airflow through the firebox so heat is distributed evenly into the room without forcing the front glass to be set back behind a protective shroud. The result is a flush front face that reads as a built-in piece of architecture rather than a bolt-on appliance. The 1500W heater operates on standard 120V household power and is fully thermostatically controlled via the included remote, with a temperature range from 62 degrees to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Three underbed colors (orange, blue, and pink), four flame brightness settings, and an open-window detection feature give meaningful control over the look and feel.

Installation Options

The New Forest is a single appliance that ships ready for any of three installation orientations out of the same box, with blanking panels included for the configurations that conceal one or both sides:

• Fully recessed (front-facing): both sides are concealed by blanking panels, fire is fully recessed into the chimney breast or media wall.
• Three-sided: both left and right sides remain open within a custom-built chimney breast for a 180-degree panoramic flame view.
• Cornered (single-sided): one side is concealed with a blanking panel, the opposite side remains open. Designed for corner-of-room installations.

Optional Add-Ons

The Black Edition trim already includes the Deluxe Real Wood Log Set (FCBUS0035) and the Rear Dark Glass (FCBUS0022) as standard equipment. The dropdown options below allow you to add a spare or replacement set at the time of purchase if you want a backup on hand, or if you are buying for a job site that already has a Signature Edition installed and you want to upgrade it to the Black Edition look. Choose "No additional" in each dropdown if you only need the standard fireplace.

• Replacement Deluxe Real Wood Log Set (FCBUS0035): +$1409. Hand-scorched UK oak logs on a custom insert tray sized for the 75-inch firebox.
• Replacement Rear Dark Glass (FCBUS0022): +$705. Dark-tinted toughened rear glass that suppresses in-room reflections and increases LED flame depth.

British Fires Guarantee: Every British Fires electric appliance comes with an automatic 1-year guarantee. Customers who register their purchase at britishfires.com/guarantee within the warranty window receive a free additional 2-year extension, for a total of 3 years coverage. Registration is free and must be completed at the time of installation. The guarantee covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship; it does not cover damage caused by improper installation, alteration, accidental damage, or normal wear. The appliance must be installed in a correctly ventilated space in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions and applicable codes. To make a claim, submit name, address, contact info, and proof of purchase to the British Fires service department. Distribution and warranty service in North America is handled by Empire Comfort Systems on behalf of British Fires.
